The Henry Poole Story

A Family Business

For generations the families of Poole and Cundey have maintained their presence in the tailoring world. James Poole made his way to London from Shropshire as a draper and his son Henry founded the most famous tailoring street in the world ‘Savile Row’. The firm was then passed to his cousin Samuel Cundey who has been succeeded by a further five generations to the present day.

Today, Pooles tradition in bespoke tailoring is maintained by Angus Cundey and his son, Simon (pictured left). Please refer to our time line for further history on the company.
