We are proud to announce that Henry Poole with our entrant Rory Duffy won the Golden Shears 2009. This prestigious award goes back to the mid 1970s, and apprentices trained by the finest tailors together with fashion college students taking a degree course compete for this coveted prize.
Over 65 entrants took part and were pared down to 25 finalists for the catwalk show held at Merchant Taylors' Hall, Threadneedle Street, which dates back to 1347. The Judges this year were David Furnish, Caryn Franklin, Marek Reichman, James Sherwood and Patrick Grant; this years Master of the Merchant Taylors was Johnny Armstrong.
